Naturvardsverket, Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (SwEPA)
The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency is a central environmental authority under the Swedish Government. According to instructions laid down by the Government its main tasks are to co-ordinate and promote environmental work on both a national and international level. The Agency provides funding for environmental research and development in Sweden with an annual budget of 11 million Euro.
Research issues of particular concern to the Agency are marine biodiversity, Environmental issues with emphasis on socio-economics, Air pollution and health, reproduction and chemicals, Alien species, game and fish populations, Life cycle and product policy. They are also interested in the topics of Risk assessments and Chemicals, synergy effects.
