Inge Paulini is the head of the Department I 1 “Sustainable Strategies and Information” and responsible for the environmental research plan.
Vera Rabelt is scientist in the Department I 1 and responsible for research strategies for environment and sustainability research and national and international cooperation in environment research. Vera represents the Umweltbundesamt in SKEP and will participate in all working packages.
Karen Thiele has recently joined Vera Rabelt as representative of the German Federal Environment Agency (UBA) in SKEP. Karen is working in the field of economic policy instruments for environmental protection, with a special focus on ecological fiscal reform and the reduction of environmentally harmful subsidies. Before she started working for UBA, Karen was engaged with the hazard assessment of ionic liquids (novel solvents) at the Centre for Environmental Research & Technology (UFT) of the University of Bremen.
