Impacts of converging technologies for environmental regulation

Our third research call is now RE-OPENED. The call focuses on the challenges and opportunities of converging technologies for environmental regulation. It is structured according to three pillars, which each consider a different aspect of the impact of emerging technologies. These are:

  1. Assessing the regulatory challenges ahead
  2. Reviewing the sustainability of existing legal frameworks
  3. Response management, including communication and public engagement

Cross-cutting themes
These pillars are supported by targeted case-studies which would assess the impacts of emerging technologies in the following specific areas:

  • Case-study 1: Environmental limits
  • Case-study 2: Waste impacts
  • Case-study 3: Human health and environmental impacts
