SYKE Colleagues

Eeva FurmanEeva Furman is a Program Manager for the Environmental Policy Research Program. She has extensive experience in developing good administrative practice in international environmental policy issues for e.g. the EEA, UN ECE and the Arctic Council. Eeva will lead the SYKE contribution to SKEP by attending work package meetings and take a lead role in exchanging good practice in research management, WP3 together with Participant 3, Finnish Ministry of the Environment (FiMoE).

 

image_paulaPaula Kivimaa assists Eeva in represnting SYKE in SKEP. Paula is a researcher in SYKE and has recently defended her thesis on 'The innovation effects of environmental policies : linking policies, companies and innovations in the Nordic pulp and paper industry'. Her main research interests are in innovation and technology research, evaluation of policies affecting the environment and innovation, interaction of environmental policy and energy issues, linkages between research and policy.

 

image_mikelEeva will be assisted in this by Mikael Hilden, SYKE Programme Director, Saara Back and Pirjo Kuuppo, Programme Manager and Senior Scientist for the Research Programme for the Protection of the Baltic Sea respectively. The SYKE SKEP team will combine experience of research evaluation, international networking, and research programme management in order to identify and develop good practices for research management in WP3. They also have extensive experience in EU-funded projects
